Wedding venue guide
Linthwaite House Wedding Venue, Bowness-on-Windermere
Bowness-on-Windermere · Cumbria – Lake District · United Kingdom
Linthwaite House is a luxury country house hotel set on elevated grounds above Windermere, known for landscaped gardens, contemporary art and wide lake views. The property has an intimate, design-led atmosphere, blending traditional Lakeland architecture with refined modern interiors. Weddings are generally best suited to smaller celebrations, private dining and exclusive or semi-exclusive arrangements where food, service and setting are central priorities. Terraces, gardens, sculptures and the panorama towards the fells create sophisticated photographic opportunities. Linthwaite House is ideal for couples wanting a high-end boutique experience rather than a large ballroom wedding, particularly those who value exceptional hospitality, calm surroundings and a stylish Lake District destination.
